Anne's on call delivering babies, and I'm alone with kids and pugs, watching the NFL draft. Congrats to the Packers for picking up the linebacker from THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY A.J. Hawk. He'll be solid for you guys.
Things have gone well, but work, and especially Anne's OB call, has been quite a challenge. I feel less overwhelmed with child care. It's a lot of work, it's very tiring, no doubt, but I don't jump up and down in frustration any more when the pajama snaps don't align right; I haven't angrily thrown a diaper in months! The proportion of fun to work has increased a lot!
In the meantime, the kids are going along well. Everyone's been healthier since winter has passed, thank god! We had a nice long hike in the forest preserve, and the kids just loved playing with dirt, leaves, etc... They had their first hair cut, which was fun. We went to a place that specializes in kid's hair cuts. Their chairs are in the shape of race cars, and they play Sesame Street on video while they cut the hair. Then they take a picture of the final result and save their first clippings in a plastic bag for you. All very cute.
Well, let's get to the good stuff, here's the pics:
